4 years ago in Design Yesterday marked the 50th
anniversary of the Nissan GT-R in partnership with coachmakers Italdesign. In celebration, the Japanese carmaker has tapped the European company for a prototype redesign dubbed the GTR-50. Initial sketches are based on the 2018 GT-R Nismo and will likely signify potential plans for the next-gen R35. As seen above, bespoke is the design of choice. The body is a sleek "liquid kinetic gray" color with contrasting "energetic sigma gold" exteriors. Up front, the car boasts a
gold-detailed grille, while the hood at the back features a power bulb and thick LED headlights. Under the trunk is a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine with Nismo upgrades; larger turbos, intercoolers, and crankshaft pistons alongside connecting rods and bearings. Speed wise the car is projected to reach 710 horsepower at 7100 rpm with custom 21-inch carbon-fiber wheels assisting for smooth driving. Inside, the upholstery is a clean black leather finish, for safety, comfort, and much
class. The car is expected to make its European debut next month. For more details, visit Italdesign. Elsewhere in the auto world, Elon Musk teases Tesla's long-awaited pickup truck.Nissan's GT-R50 by Italdesign is a Car "Without Limits"
