What are some of the barriers to advancement opportunities for women and minoritiesin many organizations? Discuss these barriers and support your response.The term glass ceiling is often used when discussing advancement of womenand minorities in the workplace. "The ‘glass ceiling’ represents an invisible barrier thatprohibits protected class members from reaching top organizational positions” (Snell,Morris, & Bohlander, 2014, p. 99). But in most cases that barrier is not invisible; it isintentional. Women and minorities face discrimination at hiring, through performancereviews, and in job functions.
