What's new on NetflixNetflix is bringing out the big guns in July. Kicking off this month is Stranger Things 4: Volume 2, which marks the beginning of the end for the scattered group of Hawkins friends, all facing a frightening future. Will everyone make it out of this season alive? The odds aren't great. Let's leave it at that. Need something to recover after the doom and gloom of the Upside Down? Boo, Bitch stars To All the Boys favourite Lana Condor as a high school student who becomes a ghost and makes a final attempt to live her best life… while she still can. It looks silly and fun. Netflix's hyped Resident Evil series is also coming out this month. Per the official synopsis, "years after a viral outbreak caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker vows to bring down those responsible." Colour us intrigued. For home improvement enthusiasts, new show How to Build a Sex Room will surely spice up your watchlist. As for returning series, keep an eye out for Virgin River. The romantic drama has plenty of surprises in store for season 4. On the movie front, The Gray Man premieres on 22 July. It stars Ryan Gosling as a CIA agent on the run and Chris Evans as a sociopathic rogue operative. The 2 face off in spectacular fashion. Ana de Armas is also in the mix and the movie is directed by the Russo brothers, who brought us Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame. Elsewhere, Dakota Johnson stars in an adaptation of Jane Austen's Persuasion, while Ranveer Singh and Bear Grylls team up in interactive special Ranveer vs Wild to find a rare flower in the Serbian wilderness. What's new on BINGE and FoxtelOn BINGE, fans of Pretty Little Liars can look forward to Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, a new series in the franchise. It's time for a new group of teen friends to deal not only with the many ups and downs of life, but also with the taunts of a villain simply known as 'A'. All seasons of the original Pretty Little Liars are dropping on the service as well. Canadian funnyman Nathan Fielder returns on TV with a new series, The Rehearsal, which aims to give people the opportunity to rehearse for their own lives. Insecure's Issa Rae is dropping new comedy Rap Sh!t, about 2 estranged high school friends who reunite to chase their rap dreams. Finally, vampire comedy What We Do in the Shadows will also be back with season 4. Needless to say, there will be plenty of opportunities to laugh out loud in the weeks to come. For scares, you can check out season 2 of American Horror Story spin-off, the anothology series American Horror Stories. These titles will be on Foxtel as well. Fresh movies arriving on demand include Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City, The Bob's Burgers Movie, Sing 2, Malignant and Spider-Man: No Way Home. What's new on StanOn Stan, the final episodes of hit series Better Call Saul premiere on 12 July. It's the end of an era, so you should definitely tune in weekly, express from the US. Only 6 episodes are left of the iconic series – and we already know that Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul will have cameos in the prequel sometime before the final end credits roll. The local streaming service is premiering 2 originals this month. Nude Tuesday is an absurdist comedy about a couple that spends a week at a new-age retreat. The film is spoken entirely in gibberish, with viewers able to choose their own subtitle adventure from 3 different versions. RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under will also be back with season 2, which sees a new batch of contestants vying to be crowned the next Drag Race Superstar. Fans of thriller comedies should check out The Resort. The series is about a married couple celebrating their wedding anniversary who unexpectedly find themselves pulled into an unsolved mystery. It stars William Jackson Harper, Cristin Milioti and Nick Offerman. What's new on Amazon Prime VideoPrime Video starts July strong with The Terminal List, an action thriller based on the best-selling novel by Jack Carr. Chris Pratt stars as a Navy SEAL whose entire platoon is ambushed during a covert mission. Traumatised and confused, he believes there might be a conspiracy at play. If you're into sci-fi, you might like Paper Girls. The show centres on 4 young girls who become caught in the crossfire between warring time-travellers in the late 80s and are transported into the future. Not only do they need to figure out a way to make it back home, but they come face-to-face with the grown-up versions of themselves. Awkward. Doco lovers should check out Warriors on the Field. Narrated by AFL legend Michael O'Loughlin, it promises to offer a powerful look at the strength Indigenous players get from their culture and how it helps them navigate racism in Australia. As for movies, Don't Make Me Go follows a single father who discovers that he has a terminal disease and convinces his teen daughter to accompany him on a road trip, hoping to cram all the years of love and support he will miss into the little time he has left with her. For something more uplifting, Anything's Possible revolves around a confident high school girl who is trans as she navigates her senior year. There are some movies appearing on streaming for the first time this month, and Prime Video will feature House of Gucci, Sing 2 and Academy Award winner Belfast in July. What's new on Disney PlusJuly brings Disney Plus subscribers new fantasy film The Princess. Joey King stars as a strong-willed princess who refuses to wed a cruel sociopath. He kidnaps her, so she needs to do everything in her power to protect her family and her kingdom. Another title to look out for this month is series The Old Man, which marks the TV return of Jeff Bridges. He plays a man who absconded from the CIA decades ago and has been living off the grid. However, he has to reconcile his past when an assassin comes after him. The show premiered recently in the US to great reviews, so it's safe to get hyped for the premiere – especially if you're a fan of action thrillers. Other highlights on Disney Plus for July include National Geographic docu-series America the Beautiful, season 3 of animated comedy Solar Opposites, the streaming release of The Bob's Burgers Movie, original film Zombies 3 and season 3 of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. What's new on Paramount PlusParamount Plus is releasing season 2 of The Secrets She Keeps, a psychological thriller brimming with bone-chilling twists and astonishing turns in this fresh batch of episodes. You might also like The Day the Music Died: The Story of Don McLean's American Pie, a documentary about the iconic song and its impact on pop culture. Hip-hop TV show Yo! MTV Raps is getting a reboot as well. Comedy series I Love That For You also gets a premiere during July. For more laughs there is also the next South Park special The Streaming Wars part 2. Additionally, reality TV fans can look forward to Couples Therapy Australia, a series that promises to offer a deep dive into the world of relationship counselling. The show will follow 3 couples as they talk about long-standing conflicts and explore their personal histories in order to forge a stronger relationship. For feel-good movies, check out Honor Society, a comedy starring Angourie Rice and Gaten Matarazzo. Rice plays an ambitious high school senior who plans to take down her competitors in order to secure a coveted recommendation for college. She unexpectedly falls for one of them in the process. What's new on BritBox, AcornTV, hayu, SBS and moreIf you love British TV, mark your calendars for Murder in Provence. A picturesque crime series, it's based on the popular M.L. Longworth novels, and it's coming to BritBox this July. Subscribers can also enjoy comedy The Curse and crime drama Grace, along with acclaimed pandemic series Staged, starring David Tennant and Michael Sheen. Over at Acorn TV, this month brings fresh seasons of One Lane Bridge, The Sommerdahl Murders and Aurora Teagarden Mysteries. If you love horror, Shudder is dropping a bunch of new titles, including South African thriller drama Good Madam, about a woman who tries to free her mother from the grip of her mysterious employer. Meanwhile, AMC Plus is releasing Moonhaven, a sci-fi series set into the future about a lunar cargo pilot who stumbles into a conspiracy while marooned on a utopian community set on the moon. Also in July, hayu debuts new seasons of Below Deck Mediterranean, Married to Medicine and Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Ex Wives Club. On SBS On Demand, buckle up for True Colours, a compelling 4-part crime drama about the investigation of a car accident which turns into an epic hunt for a killer. Finally, highlights on ABC iView include season 4 of Agatha Raisin and Steve McQueen's first project for television, Small Axe. Ist Avatar auf Disney?Außer in Deutschland läuft Avatar auch in anderen Ländern im September 2022 wieder im Kino. Auf Nachfrage von Golem.de teilte Disney mit, dass Avatar wieder in das Abo von Disney+ integriert wird.
