Gira X1 - Erfolgreichster KNX-Server im TestNun habe ich mir schon viel Hardware angeschaut und kenne mich mit Open Source Lösungen sehr gut aus. Allerdings wurde Eure Nachfrage nach “professionellen” Ansätzen immer lauter. Also habe ich mich nach hunderten Anfragen dazu entschieden, mir mal einen Gira X1 zuzulegen. Mit aktuell 760 Euro ist das nicht die günstigste Variante, aber scheinbar trotzdem beliebt. In den folgenden Inhalten möchte ich mir gemeinsam mit Dir mal die Hardware genauer anschauen und welche Möglichkeiten das Gerät bietet. Immerhin bekommt man eine recht ansehnliche App / Visu angeboten, welche auf allen gängigen Endgeräten läuft. Genauso gibt es ein umfangreiches Logikmodul um komplexere Abläufe zu realisieren, welche die Applikation in den KNX-Geräten nicht abbilden können. Ich weiß nicht, woran es liegt - aber ich bin am Ende gar nicht so begeistert, wie ich erhofft habe. Dem Gerät fehlen viele wichtige Dinge, welche ich als selbstverständlich gesehen habe. Da wären zum Beispiel Graphen bzw. Logging. Der SD-Kartenslot auf dem Gerät ist ohne Funktion und andere Themen (wie Push-Notifications) gibt es bis heute nicht. Und das, obwohl das Feature bereits im Jahr 2016 (also vor 6 Jahren!) von Gira angekündigt wurde. Ich hoffe wirklich, dass an der Stelle noch nachgebesser wird. FazitWie eingangs schon beschrieben, kann ich den Hype um das Produkt nicht nachvollziehen. Dafür, dass viele KNX-Hardliner immer gegen Loxone schießen, ist das hier wirklich dünn:
Kurzum: Man hat das Gefühl, dass sich bei Gira niemand für das Produkt verantwortlich fühlt. Läuft ja auch so. Warum wird kein anständiger AppShop mit geprüften Apps aufgebaut, welcher auch für Endkunden verfügbar ist? Stattdessen werden einem zig Steine in den Weg gelegt. Stattdessen muss man das halbe Internet durchsuchen, ob es überhaupt eine Erweiterung für ein Vorhaben gibt. Das würde das Produkt noch einmal deutlich von anderen Lösungen abheben. Scheinbar kein Interesse. Wirklich schade. Am Ende macht hier die Community wieder den besten Job. Im KNX-User-Forum sind zum Beispiel etliche Erweiterungen zu finden, welche es ermöglichen das Potenzial vom X1 endlich mal etwas mehr auszuschöpfen. Ansonsten kann ich Dir noch diese Facebook-Gruppe empfehlen, in welcher sich sehr viele Nutzer und Interessenten austauschen. Ich kann (stand heute) den X1 nicht empfehlen. Wenn man ein bisschen Technikaffin ist, bekommt man die gleichen Ergebnisse auch deutlich günstiger hin. Klar, der X1 mit dem GPA ermöglicht einen extrem schnellen Start und man sieht sehr schnell Ergebnisse. Eventuell ist er auch darauf ausgelegt? Also dass man dem Kunden schnell etwas bieten kann, was auf den ersten Blick gut aussieht. Und wenn man dann die Rechnung geschrieben hat, dann sieht man den nie wieder?! Die Frage ja wirklich, wie groß die Community um den X1 wirklich ist. Wieviele Leute würden wirklich Erweiterungen installieren und das System ausbauen? Je mehr man dazu installiert, desto weiter weicht man immerhin vom Standard ab. Und desto weniger Support kann man von Gira erwarten, wenn es Probleme gibt (immerhin sind die Erweiterungen ja dann ggf. nicht von Gira selbst - wer weiß also woran es liegt?). To begin you need to register your installation via the Gira Device Portal, once registered you will have access to add, navigate and control your full setup of devices. Once you complete these steps and you click next the Portal will attempt to validate the information and complete the addition of the new device. You can repeat this step for the S1/X1 also. After adding both X1 and S1 write down the ‘Remote Access ID’ and the ‘Activation Code’ which you can obtain by selecting the ‘Gira S1’ Device and then selecting the ‘Remote Access’ where you can generate as many as required. Your next step is to open the Gira Project Assistant (GPA) and the S1 under the project in the ‘Remote Access’ Section using the following settings:
It is crucial to understand that the data from the above is encrypted and should be kept secure from other parties. If other parties require access to the Gira installation you should generate a separate set of Remote Access credentials.
