Among the issues addressed are further details on container closure integrity and evaluation, including a detailed discussion on defects. Also to be examined are the regulatory requirements for recycling, reuse or disposal of packaging in the EU and their impact on exporters, as well as the role of packaging in shelf life extension and trends and innovations in packaging. For labeling, consideration is given to labeling requirements for imported product in the major markets of the United Kingdom, EU, United States of America and Canada, the markets to which most developing countries are exporting and which typically influence requirements in other countries.
