Die erfolgreiche Anwältin Sienna (Paula Schramm) führt mit Oscar (Jochen Schropp) eine glückliche Beziehung und würde nur zu gerne das Jawort geben, als ihr Traummann um ihre Hand anhält. Allerdings gibt es da ein kleines Problem: Sie hat bereits einen Ehemann. Pub-Besitzer Tyler (Raphael Vogt), den sie aufgrund seiner damaligen Affäre vor sieben Jahren verließ, wohnt immer noch in ihrer Heimat in Cornwall und weigert sich partout auf ihren Scheidungswunsch einzugehen. Um einen letzten Versuch zu starten, sich aus der ungewollten Ehe zu befreien, stattet sie Tyler einen Besuch ab und muss feststellen, dass er einen guten Grund für sein Handeln hat: Ohne glückliche Ehe würde er das Sorgerecht für seine Tochter Ivy (Angelina Stecher-Williams), die aus der Affäre mit der inzwischen tragisch verstorbenen Naomi hervorging, verlieren und Ivys Großmutter Deborah (Wookie Mayer) würde das Kind mit in die USA nehmen. Sienna beschließt, Tyler zu helfen, bis die Großmutter abgereist ist, damit sie von ihm anschließend endlich die gewünschte Unterschrift auf den Scheidungspapieren bekommt. Doch dann taucht Oscar in Cornwall auf, der sich ausgerechnet als Deborahs Anwalt entpuppt…
