Wer ist der Killer in Slasher?

Spoiler warning: The following article spoils the ending of Slasher: Flesh and Blood so make sure you’ve watched the entire season before reading anymore!

We’ve finally come to the end of Slasher: Flesh and Blood and with it the grand reveal of The Gentleman killer and the winner of Spencer’s twisted inheritance competition. Have you enjoyed this season of the show? I think it might be my favorite out of all four seasons. I’m crossing my fingers that Shudder renews the series for a fifth go-around.

Slasher: Flesh and Blood has been insanely over-the-top, campy, bloody, and just a generally good time week after week. The kills were brutal and merciless, the characters ranging from horrifying to too good for this world, and there were multiple twists and turns to get excited about watching unfold.

Now that the final two episodes of the season are available to stream on Shudder, we can finally start talking about the last surprises in store, and they are plenty shocking.

Slasher: Flesh and Blood: Who is The Gentleman killer?

It turns out the killer dropping bodies like flies across the island is someone that we thought had already died early in the series. It was none other than Dr. Trinn (Jeananne Goossen).

In a twist, we find out that Spencer (David Cronenberg) hired Trinn to kill the losers throughout the competition. He already knew she was capable as Trinn was something of a Dr. Death beforehand, chalking up multiple malpractice lawsuits.

Then he tested her by having her kill O’Keefe’s biological father, an artist that Florence (Sabrina Grdevich) had a romantic dalliance with in the past. We find out that Trinn put Merle’s dead body in the woodchipper and then only pretended to fall into the machine when Florence threw a log at her. She then planted her necklace so that the survivors would think it was her remains they found in the woods.

From there, Trinn went about killing everyone on the island until only Theo (Alex Ozerov), Vincent (A.J. Simmons) and Liv (Sydney Meyer) remained. Ultimately, Vincent murdered Trinn in a rage after she teased that she had crazy secrets on all three of them that would leak if she were to die and not return with an heir.

With Trinn dead, things devolve into chaos between the last three survivors. Tensions between Vincent and Theo reach their breaking point with Vincent trying to murder his brother. But Theo gets the upper hand and delivers a brutal death to his brother by sawing his head in half.

Then Theo and Liv believe they can get the inheritance and share it, but Theo starts making some weird, classist comments that get increasingly creepy the more he talks. Finally, Theo reveals the big “secret” that Trinn hinted at previously. When he was younger, he got drunk and ran his car into a daycare. Spencer paid off all the parents of the dead children.

Instead of showing remorse, Theo admits that the whole thing might have been beneficial since those parents were grateful for the money, and Spencer convinced him to look on the positive side of things. It’s gross and shows that Theo might have more of Spencer’s sociopathic blood in him than he’d led on before.

A horrified Liv ends up killing Theo while he’s relaxing in her arms, breaking his neck and leaving her to become Spencer’s sole inheritor. Liv sets up the island to ensure it appears Trinn killed everyone and then finally leaves.

She returns later to deal with the house, now pregnant with Theo’s baby. While chatting with her realtor, Liv reveals she’s going to have a girl, and she’s grateful because she’s not sure she could stand to look into the face of a child that might look like Spencer, Theo, or Vincent.

In the finale’s final moments, Liv sees a vision of all the Galloway family members looking at her as she takes her seat at the head of the table and talks about how she understands how desperation can lead people to do terrible things. Does that indicate Liv could someday become as depraved as Spencer? Let’s hope not!
